I ♥ bowling!
Ever since I was little I’ve enjoyed the whole experience; finding my bowling ball of choice, being a bit rubbish but still getting a strike or two, and weirdly I even like the special bowling shoes they give you. I just wasn’t sure that a 2¾ year old is ready to take on the challenge of Hollywood Bowl!
I really needn’t have worried, Tilly absolutely loved the whole experience. When we first arrived she stood in awe, staring at all the lanes lit up in bright neon blue. To her delight every lane had plenty of lightweight yellow and pink bowling balls and a metal ramp for her to roll the ball down. I helped her with her aim and she did the bowling. She was delighted to even knock one pin down – high fives all round every time. She didn’t like the noise of the other lanes but soon got used to it. I would recommend using the heavier balls if you’re bothered about the ball staying true to where you’ve aimed it, having said that Tilly wasn’t bothered and neither was I.
To my shame I managed to beat her, not the done thing but luckily she can’t read numbers and I didn’t let her know. After a wonderful fun time we headed to PizzaExpress for pizza and a babycino, Tilly’s only complaint was the lack of mini-marshmallows!
Fun times at Hollywood Bowl
Maybe I should let her win
Ahhh, a babycino!
